RATES & TERMS

NOTICE: DUE TO RESTRICTIONS IMPOSED BY THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT, OUR NON-CONFORMING PROPERTY IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR RENT ON A MONTHLY BASIS.

To clarify, our unconventional property does not conform to some of the short sighted standards imposed by the corporation that the PEI government hired to restrict property rentals. And since we are not willing to lower our standards and alter the unique character of our property to comply with their standards, we are not allowed to rent on a daily or weekly basis. Thus, in compliance with the imposed regulations, the minimum time period we are allowed to accept bookings for is 30 nights.

RATES -------

THE BOATHOUSE CABIN: CAD - $1500 Per Month (Based on $50 per night).

THE VP EAST COTTAGE: CAD - $1800 Per Month (Based on $60 per night).

THE VP WEST CAMPER CABIN: - Inquiries welcome.

Amounts quoted are in Canadian Dollars. US Dollars are accepted at current exchange rates.

TERMS ------

LINENS, TOWELS & BLANKETS: Linens and towels are not normally provided, but can be provided on a weekly basis for a nominal extra fee. Blankets are provided at no extra charge.

PETS: With advance notice, well behaved pets are generally welcome. Depending on the description of the pet(s), a $100 refundable damage deposit might be required at time of reservation or upon arrival.

RENTAL PERIOD - Cottages are available for any nights from June through September, but the minimum rental period is 1 month (30 nights). Check-in time is normally anytime after 2 PM and check-out is anytime before 10 AM.

PAYMENTS - A deposit of $500 is required to secure a reservation and the balance is due UPON ARRIVAL in CASH ONLY (Please note that payment of the balance in any other form, including Travelers Checks, Bank Checks, Personal Checks, etc. will not be accepted!) If a reservation is cancelled, the deposit will not be refundable unless the reserved time becomes rented. The reservation deposit can be paid either by postal mail or by email via PayPal.

Card payments are accepted via PayPal. You can email it direct from your PayPal account to bgl@solarcottagerentals.com or, if you do not have a PayPal account, we can email an invoice to you and you can pay by card without opening a Paypal account.

TO MAKE A RESERVATION: Contact Bruce or Sarah anytime by email (bgl@solarcottagerentals.com) or by phone from about mid May to about mid October (902-357-2305). A deposit is required to secure a reservation, but if you definitely decide on an available time period, it will be held open for you while your "check is in the mail" or while your card payment is being processed.
